Wendy Lakso
Wendy Lakso is a public health executive and strategic advisor with more than two decades of leadership in suicide prevention, behavioral health, and military and veteran wellness. She advises organizations at the intersection of clinical evidence, federal policy, and mission-driven growth – translating national prevention priorities into executable strategy, partnerships, and sustainable program models.
Her career is rooted in senior federal service, including leadership roles with the U.S. Army Suicide Prevention Program, the DoD Defense Suicide Prevention Office, the VA Suicide Prevention Program, and the PREVENTS Task Force. That experience provides rare fluency across DoD, VA, and civilian systems, and the credibility to convene stakeholders across the government and industry divide.
